OMG, Zeinab! Thanks for this piece, and I hope we will really deserve such a title then! It actually IS what was mentioned above, and that's why I believe it is the hardest mission or career. It's a heavy load, and we need to carry it tight! We will always need honesty, passion, and enthusiasm on the way!
You made me smile! Actually these are some of what teachers really are. I still find it unfair to classify teaching as a semi-profession; teaching should be a profession for those who really work hard and have self-conscience to strive to always offer the best of what they can give. I believe that teaching is really the mother of all professions; it is from teaching that doctors, engineers, teachers, technicians, blacksmiths, plumbers, politicians and many others pave their way towards their authentic life. We should not give up, we should protest and call for a reform no matter how hard it might be, but teaching deserves to be treated as a profession!
